Nordic mitts

I'm getting ahead with making my Christmas cards so here is one inspired by Chriss Blagrave's lovely card on Muse Christmas Visions - I liked the mittens but didn't have a die so made my own template. I used the texture in my background instead of on the mittens.  The twine evoked a childhood memory of my mittens being tied together with ribbon to prevent them from getting lost!

I'm also going to enter this card into CAS on Sunday challenge #62 embossing.

Materials used:-
Tim Holtz stamp - holiday knits
Tim Holtz Sizzix holiday words script die
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug
Ink - Stampin Up cherry cobbler
Red pearlescent card and cord from stash

Thanks for visiting my blog - I hope you will pop over to MCV10 to get more inspiration your Christmas cards. Margaret
