Muse Christmas Tag

This week's Muse on Christmas Visions is Cornelia Wenokor who has produced this lovely tag.  I really liked the effect created by using vellum for the top tag and I tried to replicate this in my card. I embossed the sentiment onto the vellum and then clear embossed the snowflakes onto the card, inked it with distress ink and then ironed the embossing off.  I then attached the tags to a linen card.

Materials used:-

Tag die - Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners
Sentiment - an old stamp I got from Lakeland
Snowflakes - Uniko Studio "Stunning Snowflakes"
Distress ink - Salty Ocean
Vellum and baker's twine

Snowflakes

I'm delighted to be back blogging after some time away - we're in the process of selling our house so all my crafting stuff has been tidied away.

I really liked Kimberly Wiener's card on Muse Christmas Visions this week and was inspired by the snowflakes, the blue background and the sparkly gems.  I found this was quite a quick and easy card to make so I might make some more although my stock of Christmas cards is looking quite healthy, considering it is only October!  There's a lot to be said for taking part in Christmas card blog challenges throughout the year.

Materials used:-
Stamps - Stunning Snowflake set by Uniko Studio
Distress inks - faded jeans and blueprint sketch
Onyx black Versafine ink
Wow opaque bright white embossing powder
 Papermania gems

LIM snowflakes

Good morning everyone and a special welcome to my new followers.

This week's challenge at Less is More is to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colours so not red or green. I have been impressed with some designs I have seen recently using cream and kraft card so I thought I would try this combination.

Materials used:-
Card - Stampin Up crumb cake and Centura Pearl
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug snowflakes
Sentiment - SU Sassy Salutations
Snowflake dies - Uniko Studio and Marianne Creatables Swedish Star

Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks to Kylie for creating my watermark. Margaret
