Here are two scrapbook pages I made recently inspired by a visit to the wonderful Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island. The first layout was done for a colour challenge at Shetland Scrapbookers - the colour combo was turquoise, pink and lime green. Not the easiest of colour combinations! The paper was from my stash and I used Tim Holtz dies for the words, rosette and the flourish.

Round and round
I am submitting this card in this week's challenge on Less is More - the challenge is entitled "Round and Round" which can be interpreted in lots of ways. I decided to cut out a circle using one of my Nestabilities as I thought the owl would fit nicely in the space. The owl stamp is from Hobby Art and the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps. The embossing folder is by Craft Creations. I coloured the image with distress markers. I think I got the runic button from Judith Glue's shop in Orkney.
I hope I can enter this card in the challenge - I am not sure if it can be classed as a Clean and Simple card! Thank you for visiting my blog and please have a look at the other designs on LIM.

Tim's Words
This is my entry for the second challenge at A Vintage Journey which is entitled "Say it with Words". I made a mini book following Tim's instructions online. The book is made from one sheet of 12 x12 paper and tissue tape. You can leave some sides of the pages open for tags as Jennie did on AVJ. The finished book is tiny - only 3 inches square! All the materials used in the book are by Tim Holtz except the words on the cover which are by Prima.
Thank you for visiting my blog - please pop over and see how the other participants have been inspired by Tim's words.

LIM "Three"
This week's challenge on Less is More is "Three". There must be 3 of something on your card and you must visit and comment on 3 other participants' designs.
I used a Clarity stamp set for the flowers, colouring these with Pebeo watercolours. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I finished the card with some machine stitching to provide a little more interest.

Lotus flower
I am going to submit this card to the Less is More week 163 challenge where the theme is Masking or Stencilling. The mask I used was a Balzer Designs one from Crafters' Workshop. I thought the lotus flower was appropriate as the card is for one of my yoga friends.

Anything Tim
A Vintage Journey blog takes its inspiration from Tim Holtz. The first challenge is aptly entitled "Anything Tim". My entry is the cover of an art journal which hopefully will record my creative journey. I used various Tim Holtz products and techniques in my project including distress inking and masking. I also used some of his stamps and tissue tape.
